Like millions of others I watched the debate last night and like the majority of people I thought Joe Biden won. It was not unexpected, but under the pressure of doing well and not coming across as sexist or condescending towards his opponent he did very well. I also have to say Sarah Palin did better than I thought. Of course the bar was set so low after the disastrous Katie Couric interview she couldn't possibly do worse. Her inability to answer specific questions and her constant rehashing of the same memorized talking points was annoying to say the least. But it is over now since the Republicans only agreed to just one Vice Presidential debate.
I wonder how many people watched last night's debate for the same reason so many people watch auto races? That is they were waiting for someone to crash and burn. What other real reason was there to watch. The election is less than 5 weeks away. How can anyone still look at you with a straight face and say they are undecided about who they are going to vote for in the election? What more do you need to know? And I really wonder how many of these people are still undecided. The people they had on CNN seemed more like the people you would see on Jerry Springer. They only wanted their 15 minutes of fame no matter what they had to do or how stupid they had to appear.
