Republican convention...

I did watch part of the Republican convention tonight. I did not intend to originally. If you do not know by know who you are voting for then I feel sorry for you. But I did want to hear what the vice presidential candidate had to say. So I tuned in a little before her scheduled speech at 10 pm. First out was Governor Linda Lingle of Hawaii. Just because she is a woman they thought it would be a good idea to have her talk? Then came Rudy Giuliani's talk. Pretentious little bastard. Finally Sarah Palin came out. Interesting to find out her speech was written before she was even picked to be the vice presidential candidate. I agree with several other bloggers that she came across as someone running for her school student council or president. This was the best McCain could find? And to hear the outright lies come out of her mouth and the crowd eat it up? Sickening. I though McCain was above this petty campaigning. At least he has said he is. Apparently that was just another belief he has abandoned as he makes his run for the oval office. I used to admire the man but how he can throw away his previous stands just to accommodate the far right of his party is enough to make me never vote for him.
