New Year's Resolutions for gamers
I got this from another site. I have to agree with too many of these! I am really guilty of number 3. A new game comes out that I have been anxiously waiting for so I buy it. Well, I can't let it just sit there so I put it in. I play for so long and either another great game comes out or I feel guilty and go back to the first game. Or another game I have sitting there wondering why I won't play it. Reading several reviews before buying is essential today. There are a lot of crap games being released and with the high price of new games I can't afford to screw up. I am actually hoping the writer's strike last for at least a couple more months so I can devote more time to gaming...

I don't understand the third one. I don't get the need to have the BIG GAME right away. You should always be able to find copies of the popular games either new or used. The only games you should snap up right away are the obscure ones. Like Persona 3...I'm still kicking myself for not picking that up right away. Finish the games you're playing and then move on to the next. You'll have a bright shiny experience waiting for you when you do. Playing multiple titles at once...and then not finishing any of them...strikes me as a waste and diluting the experience of the game.
