A new country?

The Lakota Indians have decided they no longer want to be part of the United States. That's just great. They are free to move anywhere outside this country that they want. You are not free to create a country within a country. I agree that Native Americans have been severely mistreated from the moment the first white person landed on their shore. Conquered nations usually are. Much work still needs to be done to address the living conditions and economic opportunities of Native Americans on all of the Reservations. Seceding is not the answer. And it will never happen so why even attempt it? I just think there are better ways to try and address their issues...
