Dominance of the Ivy League...
Wow. That is all I can say about the amount of money these schools have. Harvard's endowment generated $5.7 Billion in investment gains for the last fiscal year. That is not how much their endowment is--it is just the gains on the endowment. Stanford collected $911 million in gifts for the last year. The amounts of money these schools raise and hold on reserve is staggering. This gives them the power to draw the best students, best faculty, and the highest research grants. Their graduates then go on to places of power in the government and industry. Does anyone else worry about if their agenda matches the rest of society's? I refer to the rest of us who live in the real world and have to work for a living...
