I get several newsletters by email subscription. One I look forward to is Street Talk from Distinguished Brands International. Here is a link to subscribe if you are interested. It is a short newsletter with tidbits from around the world having to do with alcohol. Two items of interest from the current issue are:
AUSTRALIA – A barmaid in Peel has been fined $1000 for showing patrons of her pub that she could crush beer cans with her breasts! Evidently, she had to expose those breasts to accomplish the feat and that was against the law. No details regarding just HOW she does it.
INDIA – Six wild elephants were electrocuted after drinking rice beer in northeastern India and rampaging into a utility pole. This is the second time in three years elephants wandering into the remote village in northeastern India in search of food found the farmers stash of beer. They seem to have a taste for it.
Not everything is humorous or sad. It is a good way to get a glimpse of what is happening in the liquor world. Give it a try...
