Spank and go to jail...

How lame can we become? Violence against children is never acceptable. Child abuse is a very real problem in this country. But lets get real here. Spanking a child is against the law? How messed up is that? This issue came up on The View. Yes, I see an occasional episode when my better half has it on. I see too often parents trying to reason with a child. It doesn't work people! A young child is incapable of adult reasoning. It is a fact. Trying to reason with said child just makes you look like an idiot. Give a light whack on the behind to get their attention and let them know their behavior is unacceptable. It is the same thing with a dog. And that is the level of reasoning a child has. Deal with it people. I am not advocating beating the child. Just getting their attention. I was spanked as child and I can tell you it made me think twice about doing the same thing. And no I have not become a violent offender towards society as a result. Spare the rod and spoil the child has a lot of truth to it...
