Rockies--Padres...

What a game! If you are any kind of baseball fan tonight's game to determine the National league playoff team was one for the ages. 13 innings of excitement. Top of the 13th the Rockies bring in Jorge Julio. Not a good sign if you are a Rockies fan. Julio sucks to put it bluntly. He can't find the strike zone and walks the first batter and then gives up a two run homerun to put the Padres up by 2. The next batter singled and Julio is finally removed. Bottom of the 13th. The Padres have Trevor Hoffman pitching. Only the man with the most saves ever in baseball history. First batter---double. Second batter--double. Score now 8-7. Next batter triple! Score now tied. Last batter fly ball to right caught by the Giles--the throw to the plate...not in time according to the home plate umpire Tim McClelland. Replays seem to show that Michael Barrett did block the plate. Still, the umpire said safe so the Rockies are in and the Padres go home. What a game!!! If you are any kind of baseball fan it was one to remember...
