Emmy's...

I caught part of the show tonight. I have to say it was a disappointment. In the past watching the Emmy's was must see tv. At least for me it was. As an avid tv viewer the Emmy's were a celebration. I have to say things are not the same. What a disappointment tonight was. Have the Emmy's lost complete touch with reality? From the nominees and the winners I would think they have. The fragmentation of television watching has reached such a degree as to make any award show completely meaningless. Do the people who vote actually watch television anymore? Do they have any clue about what the rest of us watch? Those of us who made the mistake of watching tonight's telecast know the answer to those questions. At least now I know there is no reason to bother with any future telecasts of the Emmy's. Another childhood pleasure bites the dust...

So what are you exactly disappointed with? And how do you feel that the Emmys aren't in touch with average viewer? HBO won more Emmys than broadcast network telelvision. The Daily Show continues to kick ass and take names. Is it the failure of the Sopranos to sweep every category they were nominated for?
