Web 2.0 or bust...

So the term web 2.0 has been around for awhile now. If you are not sure what it is check out wikipedia. My library is slowly trying to adapt. In my world they call it library 2.0. Yes, we are behind the times as usual. Smaller library systems have moved way ahead of us technology wise. Eventually we will get there, but who knows where everyone else will have moved to by then. For me I am trying to get to the front end of the curve. There are so many cool sites and apps on the web now it is impossible to try all of them out. Customers come in everyday and use the library's computers and then ask me how do I do this or what is that for? I don't like having to say I am not familiar with that. As part of my job I think we should try to at least have an idea of what the person is asking. My goal is to do my best to see what is out there and try it out whenever possible. So don't be surprised to see me on many different sites over the next few weeks as I muck around and explore...
